A Special Message From Our County Assessor
Tim Holcomb

Dear Fellow Taxpayer:Tim Holcomb, El Dorado County Assessor

As you have probably heard, there is some bad news and some good news about our County Government.

Bad News - Our County Government is facing an historic fiscal crisis, which started with a projected fiscal deficit of around $15 million.

Good News - Of the 6 candidates running for County supervisor in District II, one of them, Ray Nutting, has the experience, and “know-how” to pull our County Government out of the “red”, and back into the “black” without resorting to some sort of tax increase.

When Ray Nutting served on our Board of Supervisors he inherited a similar situation in 1993, and helped turn things around so well, that when he left office in 2001 our County enjoyed a fund balance of some $21 million. This extra money could be used to help the County get through hard times, or used up by less responsible spending.

We need experience on the Board of supervisors to lead us through our County’s new fiscal crisis. Ray Nutting has the experience and the successful record to substantiate it. That is why I am supporting Ray Nutting and am urging you to elect him to help us through this new crisis.

Help us bring Ray back to the Board of Supervisors.

Sincerely,
Tim Holcomb
El Dorado County Assessor
