A Special Message from County Agricultural Leaders
Dear Neighbor:
We believe it is important to have a County Supervisor with a deep commitment to our Community. Someone like us, who cherishes the beauty of our County’s scenic open space, much of which is in agriculture. Few folks realize how hard Ray Nutting has worked to preserve our open space by helping keep our family farms, ranches, orchards, and vineyards in business so their land stays in Agriculture – not Development. However, there is more to Ray Nutting than just his passion and commitment to our County.
Ray Nutting has a long history of supporting Agriculture and protecting our open space, and proved it when he served as our County Supervisor once before.
Ray Nutting owns and operates a small family ranch and heavy equipment business and knows what it is like to sign the front side of a paycheck.
Ray Nutting is a family man, who, along with his lovely wife Jennifer, is raising four sons and understands the struggles that today’s working families face.
Yet, Ray Nutting still manages to find time for volunteer service. Over the years, Ray has donated his time and money to various local charities and community organizations like: Pioneer Lions Club, Scleroderma Foundation, American Cancer Society, Pride & Joy, Fire Safe Councils, Pollock Pines-Camino Logging Days, National Pony Express Association, Union Mine High School Boosters Club, Pollock Pines Community Center, El Dorado County Historical Society, and the Chambers of Commerce of El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, and El Dorado County.
On Tuesday, June 3, we will be deciding the shape of our County
for years to come.
Ray Nutting is committed to protecting our unique foothill lifestyle
and making sure our County remains a great place to live, work, raise
families and pursue our dreams.
